Virtual Majlis continues as scheduled despite the 4-day war

Despite the violence in Gaza,  the students endeavoured to meet today and share their experiences in the majlis.

 

The Al Fakhoora students have braved the danger of air raid in the streets and travelled across the region beneath the sound of the circling drones overhead, to make it to the VM.

 

Now, more than ever, the importance of communicating with an international audience on the situation, is at its greatest.

 

According to Abdul Rahman Ja'rour, our Twitter spokesman for today's group, the conversation covered the burial of a number of the martyrs who have been killed over the last four days.

 

The destruction of what is being called the '4-day massacre' has raised questions and anger in the students on the perpetual issues of the blockade, where normal life focuses more on the symptoms of the adversity.

 

There has been discussion on whether 'reaction' to violence can be classed as 'action' and how the sense of hate is cultivated and maintained across the boundaries. The students felt confused and despairing at this. 

 

There was great sadness in response to the killing of schoolchildren and a shared hope that the events of the past days really have come to a close.
