UN Human Rights Mechanisms
The publication seeks to respond to the acute need to identify trends in the practice, and contribution, of the United Nations human rights mechanisms to the protection of education in times of insecurity and conflict. By scrutinizing the relevant practice and processes of core mechanisms, the study draws attention to legal trends that promise to strengthen the protection of the right to education. The study presents a valuable insight into the challenges of implementing applicable international law. Through its recommendations, it speaks directly to those individuals and bodies that have the opportunity and influence to contribute substantively to the efficacy of that implementation.
