The paper seeks to assess the gaps and challenges in relation to accountability for education-related violations of international law. The study addresses legal and other forms of accountability and how the protection of education in conflict can be strengthened through the Sustainable Development Goals framework. The authors promote the application of 5Ps (Prevention, Protection, Prosecution, Post-conflict Recovery and Partnerships) as an integrated cross-sectoral framework.
