Opening up a world of education

Children love to learn. If they are denied access to knowledge, we also deny them the opportunity to change their lives for the better.

Education Above All (EAA), has announced a new contribution from Chevron Phillips Chemical Company Qatar LLC (Chevron Phillips Chemical), which will see the chemical producer invest QR 380,000 into the EAA foundation’s fastest-growing programme, Together Project.

While EAA foundation continues to tackle deep-rooted socioeconomic barriers hindering children’s education across its globally renowned programs, Together Project was launched in 2015 to bring opportunities to out-of-school-children from disadvantaged backgrounds in Qatar. To date, the Ihsaan schools run as part of the Together Project have enrolled a total of 1,496 students representing 22 Arab and non-Arab nationalities. The sponsorship by Chevron Phillips Chemical comes as part of the company’s corporate vision, Performance by design. Caring by choice™, whereby it aims to bring positive, measurable change to communities around the globe by making charitable investments and encouraging employee volunteerism with various organizations.

“We strive to be the neighbor of choice in the communities where we operate and seek to invest in charitable programs that improve lives around the world,” said Jay Bickett, Vice President, Qatar, for Chevron Phillips Chemical. “Together with Education Above All, we look forward to improving access to education for disadvantaged populations here in Qatar.”

"Humanity will not overcome the immense challenges we face unless we ensure that children get the quality education that equips them to play their part in the modern world." -- HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser
