Projects

ICT for Education- Improve Access and Quality

Calendar icon

This project was implemented in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, where during previous TQI program implementation it was found that there are many schools in this area that do not have, or have poor access to ICT infrastructure and the internet. In addition, the teaching and learning process is still carried out in a conventional way where there is mostly only a one-way interaction (lecture based) with limited teaching and learning tools. Schools selected can be divided into two categories: 1. Schools that are not equipped with ICT and do not have access to the internet 2. Schools that have an insufficient number of older computers (10+ years old) and with very poor access to the internet. In addition to infrastructure, the program provided pedagogical training for teachers on effective integration of ICT in teaching and learning, in addition to training of school administrators on integrating ICT for school management. In the last stage of the project, students implemented curriculum based projects.
