In 2021 PEIC worked with UNESCO-IIEP (International Institute for Educational Planning) to update, modify and strengthen the core knowledge platform ‘Education 4 Resilience’ that was an outcome of a previous PEIC-UNESCO-IIEP partnership. This resource has been widely disseminated and used to address conflict and crisis risks in the education sector. It was updated and presented once again to ensure that the response to COVID-19 mitigates risks during the COVID pandemic, and to ensure that long-term planning safeguards education in the medium and long term ‘recovery’ stages when education systems will need to be restored.
