The EAC-UNICEF South Sudan project will is working to increase access to quality primary education for out of school children in South Sudan by:

• Building schools,
• Providing education materials,
• Building the capacity of teachers, and
• Taking special measures to retain students in schools.

Children’s learning and progression into higher grades is a special focus of the project. The project is implemented in counties with high numbers of returnees and out of school population.

The project aims to reach over 32,600 children with quality primary education.
